Manny's was out of the item I purchased at Christmas, so they sent me the "closest item" to what I purchased. Unacceptable. When I notified them of the problem, I shipped the item back to them and THEY MADE ME PAY FOR THE RETURN SHIPPING ON THEIR MISTAKE?! It's nearly three months since this mistake, and they are still refusing to accept responsibility and credit my card.
The customer service is terrible, and the selection is poor, and the quality of the merchandise is awful. What else do you need to know? And this is the official store of SU athletics?! Thanks Mr. Gross but I'll stick with the bookstore...
I purchased a sweatshirt and upgraded to 2 day shipping. I made the purchase at 10:30am Monday morning, so a normal shopper would expect the item to be delivered on Wednesday. Turns out 2-day shipping (for their ridiculous $20 fee) is really 3 day shipping. They do not even look at the order until the next day and then process it. When upgrading to over night and two day shipping, most companies expedite those orders so they arrive when the customer paid for them to arrive. I called up customer service to try to get a refund for the difference in shipping fees from ground to 2-day since I did not receive the service paid for. The first person I talked with was very unhelpful (although not rude), and simply kept stating things like "it's our policy" and refused to credit me the difference. I was even told had I chose next day shipping that I wouldn't receive it until Wednesday, 2 days later! On their website under shipping and under policies, there is no reference to an extra processing day anywhere. I eventually got an owner on the phone and he agreed to credit the difference but told me I was incorrect to expect 2 day shipping in 2 days! He told me that 99% of on-line companies do not operate like that and always take 1-3 days or more to process orders. I do 95% of my shopping on-line and if I pay to expedite an order, it arrives when it's supposed to (or when the website says it will...such as "must place order before to 3pm to receive by X date" etc). I am satisfied that I was eventually accommodated, although I am unhappy about their policies and procedures (or lack there of written for customers to see) and their shipping costs that do not back-up their service.
Manny's customer service is, excusably, the worst I have experienced. Their prices may be competitive and the online shopping may be convenient but IT IS NOT WORTH IT! Buy elsewhere! They will twist your order, refuse to take responsibility and then charge your credit card for their mistake.
