After enjoying the Oakwood Cemetery Ghost Walk last night we decided to visit the OHA today and just take a look!! What an amazing collection of artifacts from Onondaga County's history. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and we decided to join for the year. Now we will get updates and be able to do research. Thank you OHA!!
We recently attended a "Ghost Walk" in Liverpool sponsored by the OHA, which made us curious about what else the place had to offer, so we stopped by to visit. The Ghost Walk was so much fun: interesting characters from Liverpool History, like Mayor Heid, and a willow basket maker, told us their stories and wove interesting facts into well-performed (and often funny) first person histories. We walked from location to location led by a tour guide. The OHA itself is packed with treasures from Onondaga County history, and has a great gift shop. Evidently they run programs all year long, including a recent Paranormal visit in the building which we missed.
