I loved my time at Webster
Nice school, nice people, my grandson loved it.
I am highly disapointed in the oraginization, standard and effort of the school. I was able to enter the building with another parent unannounced and walk freely, while one of the two times my daughter was not put on her bus nor was I notified....had to go to three different enterences to gain access. I also recieved calls stating my daughter was marked absent when she was in fact in attendence. The loud speaker has to violate some code as it is so loud it is a hinderence to children no doubt effecting their developing ear drums. My daughter speaks of the same problem children with no result . The recordings we recieve are sloppy. not gramaticly correct and inaccurate. The bus drivers often drive by our stop and return late with attendants dressed messy ,rude and at times do not even leave the bus. My daughter was not given tickets to events she won,the main office is a mess with no leadership, at a concert the princable did not even know teachers names......However....the teacher we had Mrs Gray was responsive and in close contact.i commend her for trying in such a disconnected surrounding. The test scores are unexceptable and low. The website features only ethnic students with a strong focus on diversity.....all the while ignoring the 31 percent of white students. I attended webster many many years ago and notice tbe decline! Mr Carter of west side high's lean on me should come and give it the makeover it and our children deserve.
My boy loves this school.
I fought for 2 months to get my son in that school being I was told what a good school it was. My son started acting out beyond control (not violently) just really hyper. Sitting down eating dinner I notice a distinctive bruise on his arm when I asked what it was from he had said "mrs.bardenett always squeezes my arm when she gets angry" I went to the school where the assistant principal called my son a liar and it was after that mrs minor made her ask the music teacher what hhad happened and she confirmed my sons story 100%! The school had done nothing, the cops had done nothing, internal affairs have done nothing, and so conveniently her husband worked for CPS. This school is a joke and beyond a disgrace! So many other parents have contacted me stating similar things have happened em to their child with special needs but they can't talk to speak up. DO NOT send your kid(s) to this POS!
