Tom K and Tim did an amazing job with my generator maintenance. They called before they came and showed up on time. Where very thorough and went over everything with me. Tag Mechanical is lucky to have such wonderful employees.
Gregg F. from TAG Mechanical was great. We use TAG for all our heating/air conditioning/plumbing issues, and they are always very pleasant, helpful, informative, and they work cleanly. We really appreciate having someone we can trust to work in our home and be honest with us. Gregg was efficient and thorough and we have a great looking new hot water tank thanks to him.
3 months and the jobs not completed, always excuses but the workers are seldom on site and then only work part of a day. Will show up for one day and take the rest of the week off. Everything half done, never completed. I would recommend that you stay away from these guys if you ever want to get a job completed. Told them not to disconnect the power until they were prepared to have it reconnected, they had NYSEG disconnect the power anyway and we're two weeks without electricity and counting. Covered all four walls of the basement with their mechanical installations, nothing is planned or organized, just put things where its easiest for them at the time. Their "crews" consist of two guys. These guys can't complete a project on schedule so everything else is being held up because of their pathetic performance.
Stay away. I hired Tag Mechanical to install a heating/cooling system and solar panels in August. They are prompt at coming out and selling you products. They were also prompt and extremely efficient at coming out to get you signed up for loans to pay for your project. That is where things stop being prompt or efficient. From then on they consistently did not show up, and missed dead lines. I was building a house so them being two weeks late to install the first part of the heating system stressed the timeline in October. The second part of the install again required numerous phone calls to try to keep things on time. Of course at this point it is late November and they were given notice weeks ahead of time. In mid January I realized they installed a heating system that was only rated down to 17 degrees F, and not the system they sold me. This is not acceptable in Syracuse NY. After talking with the owner they did end up coming and putting in the proper unit. The service tech said he knew it was the wrong unit but the salesman told him it would be fine. The solar system didn't go any better. After numerous calls they came and dug a ditch from my service panel to where the panels would be in October. Then after I threatened to cancel in Mid December the salesman and planner came out to my house for a sit down meeting. I told them I wanted it in by the end of the year at the latest. It was in the Friday the 30th. The only problem now is they are coordinating with national grid to have a net meter installed so I can use the panels. Tag told me the meter should be in first week of January. Then after calling, they came back in late January to get my meter number so they could put in a request to get a net meter, so I can use my panels that I agreed to buy back in August. It's now the end of February. I still cannot use the solar panels. It's tough they sign you up for a loan that goes directly to them, and then they are in no hurry. You are already committed which makes it harder to back out when they are holding $18k of your money. Extremely Frustrating. Save yourself the aggravation and stay away.
Poorly installed solar panel system still does not work properly. Understand the manufacturer dropped them for good reason. No follow up, and a solar pool heater was simply removed due to improper installation. Very nice people , but way over their head with the solar equipment.
