I was at this store last night purchasing a $3 scratch off lotto card and won $103. The cashier named Gary lied to my face and said I won only $3 and refused to give me back the lotto card and a receipt. I went back to complain to a man named Ed who apparently is the rudest and most unprofessional business owners I have ever met, who proceeded to laugh in my face and created a huge scene in front of the whole store calling me an idiot and saying he could do nothing. He owns the store and claims he has no idea what the lottery is or how to play scratch offs yet he sells them daily. I have never been more insulted in my life, nor have I been cheated and lied to by a business. NEVER GO TO THIS LIQUOR STORE.
These people who own this store disgust me. They have zero manners or professionalism to their customers, they cheat and steal, and they cover their own backs when they know they did something wrong that they should pay for. It's not right to run a business in Syracuse and treat people this way, laughing at that poor girl who just turned 21 and wanted to give their tiny small selection over priced store some business. If you run a liquor store, have some class and follow the laws. And since that has been too hard for these fools since the get go at least try to have the decency to be a decent person. Not a nasty, greedy, pessimistic a**hole. It's truly a shame Syracuse is disgraced with such businesses like these that only bring the city and its people down while they hide in their smelly liquor store ruining their own customers day.
Westvale Wine & Liquors is very well-kept and orderly. They have a good selection at fair prices and stay open until 6PM on Sunday after other stores close. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. They have a strict policy about checking ID on anyone who looks underage, and they keep to it. I have been shopping there since the store opened in 2004 and never had a problem of any kind.
Small basic liquor and wine store. People working there are usually pretty friendly. Prices are average.
