Sorry, I guess this wasn't a short story after all but the moral is: I will go to the Microsoft Store for EVERYTHING from now on!
Purchased Shadow of War for the Xbox One. Needs Xbox Live and internet to play. I don’t have either, therefore there is no way for me to play this game I purchased. Requiring these things shows just how greedy this company is. Microsoft, you lost some lifetime customers, my family and I will NEVER purchase from you. To customers reading this, there’s a reason why PlayStation 4 is more popular. Go Sony.

Super helpful staff!! I went in due to a problem with my xbox one controller they had me all set in about ten minutes and got me a replacement no charge. They were quick and very nice!
Called Microsoft Store in Destiny USA!...got an appointment to be there in 30 minutes...walked in...Ash asked me if he could help...OMG! Within 1 hour, ALL my files were back, my Surface was running like a top, AND I left my old Asus tablet with them to update! Oh, and I got a bottle of water, too, that I didn't have time to finish! (At Best Buy, i was told to walk around the store while they took my Surface into the back room.)
We had an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and helpful sales person who answered all our questions, made insightful suggestions based on our input, and helped us get started with our new Surface Pro purchase. We could not have been better served. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you, Margaret!
They saved my life! Long story short...Surface Pro 2 working fine but needed security software updated....took to Best Buy (where I bought it in 2014), all of a sudden it can't hook to internet and screen freezes!...left it with them....Went back next day...still won't work and my files are gone!...told me they would have to reboot completely!...I took my Surface home to think about it!...
